My middle son is 9 and still did not know how to tie his shoes no matter how many times we showed him. He is ambidextrous which means he is both left handed and right handed. He writes left handed but every thing else is 50/50, because he does not have a dominate hand his hand coordination is not that great.We where given the chance to try Tie Buddies and I was not sure if it would help my son, I figured it was worth a try. I followed the instructions and placed them on his shoe strings and then walked him through the steps on the back of the package which are numbered and have great illustrations. He seemed to understand it right way. We have tried the Tie Buddies a few days now and he is almost a pro. I wish I would have found these years ago !
